Meet Amy
AMY JORDAN
Author, Keynote Speaker, Fitness Expert & Choreographer
Amy is an award-winning author, keynote speaker, fitness expert, and choreographer. She was a dancer and her dream was to dance professionally and tour the world and even be a rockstar (except she can’t sing). She also has had type 1 diabetes since the age of 4. Compounded by an eating disorder that caused her to become legally blind at age 21 where she had to stop driving. Unfortunately, her dance career stopped before it started.
At 39, the unimaginable happened. She was crossing the street in New York City and was hit and run over by a New York City express bus. Amy was literally hit by a bus, pinned under the tire and her right leg was crushed, and nearly amputated. 20 surgeries later it has been rebuilt and she was told she may never walk again. While pinned under that bus tire, Amy made a determination in her own heart. “If I survive the night, there will be a Victory Dance.”
On June 15, 2017, Amy literally danced again onstage with her professional company The Victory Dance Project and now has an award-winning book ‘Dance Because You Can.’ She is even more grateful her journey back to the stage has become an Internationally Acclaimed Documentary Feature film.
Amy was raised in West Palm Beach, FL. She is also the Founder and Artistic Director of The Victory Dance Project, a professional dance company on a mission to ‘Make the Impossible Possible with the Power of Movement’.
Amy's Journey
Anyone who buys me coffee is forever beholden in my heart and I am a sucker for all animals where someday I want a sanctuary to rescue abandoned and abused dogs, cats, horses and a goat named Sally.
